Sandra Lee Mason

Sandy, “Golden Girl” was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, was a member of University United Methodist Church where she sang in the Choir. She was a special education teacher in Grand Haven, MI, taught First Grade in Holt Public Schools and was a guidance counselor and medical social worker at East Lansing Public Schools. Sandy was also president of The Holt Education Association for several years.

She was an avid gardener specializing in beautiful roses and was an amazing gourmet cook. Sandy and her husband Bill were Frank S. Kedzie Society level donors to many MSU charities including the Broad Museum, the Cowles House, MSU College of Music, and MSU Professors of Jazz.

She is survived by her husband Bill of 53 years, her brother Charles (Zenith) Hilton of Quincy MI, sister, Joanne (Eric) Gilchrest and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Gorsline-Runciman’s East Lansing Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave. on Tues, July 6th from 4-8 PM. Memorial Service will be held at University Methodist Church, 1120 S. Harrison Rd on Wednesday 11 AM. www.GREastLansing.com to share memories and condolences.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy would love you to donate to your favorite library or "Give a kid a book, preferably a hardback."

Additional Memorial services will be held in Quincy, Michigan, Thursday, July 15, 1-3 pm, Eagle Funeral Home. A luncheon will be served at the Union Church after inurnment at the cemetery.
