Born May 5, 1973 in Lansing to Richard and Marlene (Harvey) Wagner, died July 29, 2011 at the age of 38. Richard loved using computers to solve problems and to produce meaningful creations as well as to play games his entire life. He worked for NIST as a research scientist in nano technology; appreciated art and music; liked to travel, especially on road trips with Kiki. He enjoyed playing Wii and board games with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, cousin Nita Prieskorn, uncles Carl Kasza and John Wagner. Surviving are his girlfriend Kiki Koerner; father Dr. Richard W. (Linda) Wagner; mother Marlene Harvey; brothers Robert and Noah Wagner; sisters Dr. Ann (Steve) Koss, Terri Coward, Deborah (Chris) Dezelan and Rachel Wagner. Richard’s family would like to thank Sparrow Home Health Care, Dr. Karen Bollman and her staff, Dr. John Siano and the CCU and Medical Oncology staffs at Sparrow for their compassion and tireless efforts. Services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 157 High Street, Williamston, MI. The family will receive friends Monday, August 1, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, East Lansing, with Chaplet of The Divine Mercy at 7:30 pm. Interment Tuesday, 3:00 pm at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Emmett, MI.
