Pamela Lynn Eldred

Pamela Lynn (Straub) Eldred, East Lansing, loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on May 17, 2022. Pam was born on October 17, 1963 in South Bend, Indiana, and grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. She was the daughter of Marilyn and William Straub. After graduating from East Lansing High School, she worked in child care and received her associates degree in child development. She then worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield for nearly two decades. In more recent years, she pursued her love of caring for people by going back into the child care and finally elder care field as a home health aide.

Pam had a generous, kind and loving heart. The caregiving field was a perfect field for her empathetic and caring nature. For her family, she was a keeper of sentimental mementos that might show up as gift bestowed upon a holiday or a difficult time. Her family will miss and think about her, and she will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her son, Brandon Eldred, her parents, Marilyn and William Straub, and her sister, Cynthia Straub.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
