Mary Lou Sumner

MaryLou Sumner, age 82 of East Lansing, Michigan passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, Michigan. She was born May 20, 1938 in Jackson, Michigan the daughter of Russell E. and Grethel M. (Beardsley) Blackmere.

MaryLou enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading. She loved to travel and visiting every casino in Michigan was a favorite pastime of hers. But most of all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her 4 children; Robin J. (Randy) Faust, Ross (Ardel) Sumner, Jr., Russell E. (Debbie) Sumner, and Rodney E.(Dorothy) Sumner, 7 grandchildren; Charlie, Andy, Adam, Alex, Dustin, Savannah, and Ryan, 15 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Keith Balckmere. MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack A. Buck, 2 sisters; Kay Pelham and Carol French, and sister-in-law, Joann Blackmere.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment with be at Gunnisonville Cemetery, DeWitt, Michigan.
