Mary Ann Keilen (Nash) of Lansing, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. She was 77 years old. Mary Ann was born to the late Harry and Bertha Nash on November 27, 1944 in Lansing, MI. She graduated from Resurrection High School in 1963 and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Jack Keilen, two years later. Together Mary Ann and Jack created a loving home in which they raised their three children. Mary Ann was a lifelong devoted Catholic and an active parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Mary Ann was a dedicated stay-at-home mother for many years. When her children got older, she began to work outside of the home, first for Sears Contract Sales Company and then later she retired from Michigan State University. In her free time, Mary Ann was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking, shopping, playing cards, and spending time with her family. In her retirement, she became an active member of Kiwanis Club where she especially liked being a Bell Ringer at Christmas-time and helping out at local soup kitchens.
Mary Ann will be remembered for many things. She has an unparalleled warmth and friendliness towards everyone she met. She made friends easily and maintained many of those friendships her entire life. She had a playful yet honest way of looking at things and a sense of humor that few could rival. Above all, Mary Ann graced our world as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished every moment she had with her children and grandchildren, and her love for them was always gentle, never demanding, and forever unconditional.
Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 57 years, Jack, and their three children, Mark, Mike (Tasha), and Michelle (Justin) Allen. She leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Mallory, Zachery, and Jemma, as well as her devoted and loving sister, Judy Nash. Mary Ann will also be remembered by countless brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed.
