Mark Alan Clayton, 55, born July 15, 1967, on Little Rock Air Force Base, Jacksonville, AR, went to his heavenly home November 4, 2022 in the comfort of his home with the love of his life and his dog by his side.
Mark lived up to the nickname given by his younger brother -Re-Markable- in that he was an extraordinary individual, with a loving and giving heart, a devoted technology buff who enjoyed helping his family with various troubleshooting issues, and a special way with dogs. Mark loved unique works of art, travel, dogs, cars, and his family. Mark served in the U.S. Navy, spending time in California and Japan. He grew up in Perry, MI, but made his home in Bath. For the last twenty-one years he worked for the Lansing Board of Water and Light, as an Operator and Instrument Control Technician. Mark is leaving behind his adoring wife, Allison Schluchter; his parents, Charles and Claudia Clayton; his brother, Matthew (Angela) Clayton; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his grandmother.
Mark is predeceased by his older brother, Charles Clayton.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 21, 2022 at New Hope Church, 2170 E. Saginaw Hwy, East Lansing, MI with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or by making a blood donation to those in need.
