Margaret Schneider, born on December 23, 1928, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, in East Lansing, Michigan, where she had made her home for the last 55 years. A dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
Margaret was an accomplished woman. A passionate golfer and avid bridge player, she also had a love for gourmet cooking. Her culinary skills brought joy to holiday and family gatherings, where she welcomed anyone who needed a place to feel at home during special occasions.
Her professional life was marked by both care and connection. After graduating from Mercy College of Nursing, Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit. Later, she found success as a real estate agent, where her ability to quickly connect with others and her keen understanding of their desires helped countless families find their perfect homes.
Margaret’s spiritual beliefs were central to her life. As a devout Catholic and founding member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Okemos, MI, she built a lasting community of friends and shared her deep commitment to her faith.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and unity in her family, who will forever treasure her memory:

Her family and friends will remember her as a loving, compassionate soul who fostered a deep sense of connection among everyone she encountered. Her warmth, dedication, and unwavering faith will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
In accordance with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place. The Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Martha's Catholic Church, 1100 W Grand River Ave. Okemos, MI 48864. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of Mass.
She will be dearly missed and never forgotten
