She was born in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1969. Lael obtained her Nursing degree from Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan.
Before retirement in 2011, she worked for 38 years at University of Michigan Sparrow Hospital as an RN in the Mother Baby Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Courtney Ducker of East Lansing, Michigan; her son, Tyler Ploucha of Rochester Hills, Michigan; her sister, Joy Chubb of Port St. Lucie, Florida and her brother, Kirk Neville of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two grandsons, Jameson and Beckham Ploucha; two grand dogs, Odin and Loki Ducker. Also surviving her is Paul Glocksine of East Lansing, Michigan.
Per her request there will be no funeral. Lael was cremated and her family had a private service. A memorial celebrating Lael’s life is being planned for Spring 2025.
