I’ve followed Irene and Sharon for a number of years at the Landings in Ft. Myers. Irene, when able, would come to the courts and watch Sharon play. I never knew her without a pretty smile on her face. My tennis team had a 90th birthday party for her. It was a truly amazing party! We’ll Miss seeing her. Love and sympathy to her family. Irene was my friend.   I enjoyed are long talks about gardening, canning, bud, the gas station, WW2, and the auto parts store.   Those were the things Irene enjoyed to talk about.  

The things she asked about was the reason I loved her.   Irene always asked about my wife and children.   Irene always looked forward to seeing my kids at church, Christmas plays, Halloween and anytime she could smile and wink at my kids.   Irene had a sparkle in her eye for my family.  I really appreciated that.   

Irene was my friend.   I hope I earned her respect and love.   I know she earned mine.

Sharon and Family
Terry, our kids (Chris and Erica), and I were so saddened to hear of Irene's passing.  Living across the street from her for so many years, was an honor.  We were blessed to have her as our neighbor.  We all remember that great smile of hers, especially after we would place Christmas Luminaries out on her property yearly.  She was such a joy to come to our open houses, and after meeting my parents, always asked about how they were doing.  I especially will treasure our private visits at her home, enjoying coffee, tea and sweets, and sharing family stories and laughs.  Finally, after we moved to Florida, she and Sharon went out of their way to come and check on us at our Garden Center and even make a purchase.  Our only regret is that we   didn't get a final visit after moving back home.  R.I.P. dear Irene...until we meet again.            Love, Terry , Sharon, Chris and Erica Chepy

We are so sorry to learn about Irene's passing.  We remember many pleasant visits in Irene's company - she was always so sweet and friendly. We remember our times with Irene very fondly. I have many fond memories of delightful conversations on the occasions I had Irene in my chair at Douglas J.    She was always a gracious and kind lady.
