Howard "Butch" D. Miller

He is survived by his wife Gloria (Jackson) Miller whom he met at Walter French Junior High School and they were married for 55 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Michelle (Karl) Hand and Cami (Bryan) Shadaker; grandchildren, Evan and Alayna Hand and Carson, Aiden and Jackson Shadaker. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Gary (Laura Wilson) Jackson.

One of his proudest moments was being inducted into the Sexton High School Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the Sexton Basketball State Championship Teams of 1959 and 1960. He continued his sports achievements as a member of Michigan State’s Basketball and Baseball teams and a member of the MSU Varsity Club. Butch was also an MSU Basketball and Football season ticketholder for many years. An avid golfer, he played some of the finest courses in the US as well as many life-long friends.

A private memorial will be held. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Conquest Fitness Foundation which hosts and supports a wide range of free programming for underserved kids in Mid-Michigan along with First Tee of Mid-Michigan.
