She graduated from Laingsburg High School in June 1943. Her first jobs were with State Farm Insurance and the Lansing Oldsmobile plant where they were making the BIG guns for the WWII war effort.
Donna married Arthur L. Clark on December 24, 1949 and had two daughters, Jane and Dena. Donna was involved in numerous civic activities that included Sunday School teacher, Community Leader for the Haslett 4-H Club for 15 years, and volunteering at the Ingham Medical Hospital (now McLaren Greater Lansing) in the Family Lounge for over 18 years. While the girls were still in school, she worked part-time during various Christmas seasons - a jewelry store, a toy department, and the Okemos Post Office for extra holiday spending money. During the early years of marriage, she worked with Arthur at Clark Engineering Company which they built together from the ground up. Once their daughters completed their schooling, Donna returned to Michigan State University to complete her own Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Ecology in June 1983 at the age of 58!
In 2005, she moved to Las Vegas, NV to be closer to her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Clark) Ulisky and her husband, John Ulisky; two grandchildren – Kylie and Vincent Ulisky and four great-grandchildren – Soren, Aaron, Sarah, and Jeremy.
