David Arnold Yankee passed away in Okemos, Michigan on October 14, 2021 at the age of 74.
David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years June Yankee, son Mark Yankee, daughter Sarah Villanueva, son-in-law Phillip Villanueva, and sister Ann Reith.
David was born in Manistee, Michigan on January 2, 1947 and graduated from Manistee High School in 1965. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Michigan Technological University in 1969 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1971.
He worked as a land appraiser for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for 31 years. After David retired, he started Yankee Appraisal Associates.
His greatest love was spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring husband and devoted father. He was an avid nature photographer and enjoyed taking close up photographs of flowers and insects. He enjoyed woodworking and designing furniture. David will be loved and missed for all our days.
