D. Michael Dudley

D. Michael Dudley, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born December 24, 1949 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Arthur and Marcia (Rapaport) Dudley. D. Michael’s commitment to helping others led him to practice law for many years in the East Lansing area. He was very interested in nature and shared that love by taking his children on many nature walks. He was an avid birdwatcher, and rarely missed the annual Christmas Bird Count. He was a political artifacts collector, and he loved to fish, watch football, and support his UC Bearcats.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Jane Dudley, who passed only 3 months ago.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jennifer (Rob) Malinowski and Ruth (Michael Carr) Dudley-Carr; his granddaughters, Ellie and Katie Malinowski; his close cousins, Ross and Shelly Rapaport and Jane Rapaport; his many dear friends, Dwight Schaberg, Richard Rashid, Tim and Kathy VanRavenswaay, Roger and Karen Murphy, and Gail and Jack Roberts; his beloved office staff at Mike Dudley Law P.C.; and many other cherished family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 12pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10am to 12pm at the funeral home.
