Shirley Ada Reed, 95, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Roy Everett Reed, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Apple Rehab. She was born September 5, 1917 in Boston, MA to the late Charles and Mae Price. She moved to East Hartford in 1950 where she resided for several years. Shirley was employed by Travelers for many years. She enjoyed travelling and spent most of her time with friends. She will be most remembered for her love of dance.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Shirley Dalenta and her husband James of South Windsor and her grandson Steven Edward Parker. She was predeceased by her brothers Charles and Robert Price, her sisters Edna Marshall and Helen Rice.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, September 13, at 10:00AM, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford CT. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00AM. Burial will be private.
