Olivia Joy Wentworth, 17, of Ellington, tragically was called to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Olivia was the loving daughter of Scott A. Wentworth of Plainville and Robin J. (Paterno) Wentworth of Ellington. Born in Manchester on April 30, 2000, she was a life-long resident of the Ellington/South Windsor area, and also spent time with her family in Plainville. She was presently a member of the Senior Class at Ellington High School. She was an athletic girl who loved playing basketball and volleyball. Most of all, Olivia will be remembered for having a special gift for volunteering and helping “children with special needs”, and for touching so many lives with her zest for life.
Along with her father and mother, Olivia is survived by two brothers, Alexander Terlizzi of Vernon, Jaxon Wentworth of Southington; her paternal grandmother, Sherry Fleming and her husband, Robert, of East Hampton; her maternal grandmother, Noel Paterno of East Hartford; one aunt, Rhonda Wentworth of Rockford, MI; two uncles, Todd Wentworth of Plainville, Dominic “Joe” Paterno and his wife, Melissa, of Ashford; her step great-grandmother, Louise Fleming of Westfield, MA; several cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and many dear friends. Olivia was predeceased by an infant brother, Tyler Wentworth.
Private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Olivia’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday (July 27th) from 2 – 7 pm at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
