Nina Pawlus, on February 10, 2013 the Lord called Nina home to Heaven to be reunited with her husband Frank. Born in Russia on December 4, 1926, Nina came to America in 1951 where she resided and raised her family in East Hartford. She retired from Hartford Hospital where she worked for 22 years. Nina loved spending time with her family, cooking for gatherings and tending to her home, gardens and plants. She also enjoyed dancing and trips to the beach. Nina was always a shoulder to lean on and had an ear to listen. Her strength, devotion and unconditional love will be missed by all who knew her.
Nina leaves behind her children; Stan Pawlus, Aniela Pawlus, Frank Pawlus, Irene Pelletier, Lodzia Daley, Veronica Longo, Anna Benson and Jenny Pawlus. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren whom she cherished.
Special thanks go to Lodgzia and Veronica and the staff at Vernon Manor for the effort and care spent each day making Nina’s final days comfortable and dignified.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
“Say not in grief: she is no more, but live in thankfulness that she was”. Kochane Mama, Icź z Bogiem.
