Mary was the loving wife of 57 years of the late Daniel J. DiNardo. Born in Hartford on October 14, 1920, a daughter of the late Frank and Serafina (Motta) Cardile, she had resided in East Hartford for over 57 years prior to moving to Glastonbury. Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed for twenty years by Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford. A talented singer who loved opera, Mary was a member of the Travelers Choral Club. She was also an avid duckpin bowler who participated in leagues for many years at Holiday Lanes, Manchester. Mary loved baking and was known for her fresh baked Italian Breads. Most of all, Mary was a proud and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother adoring her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
Mary is survived by two sons, Daniel J. DiNardo of Manchester, Christopher A. DiNardo and his loving girlfriend, Melony Anderson, of East Hartford; two daughters, Carmel Willis and her husband, Durward, of Glastonbury with whom she made her home, Sally Guglielmo and her husband, Patrick, of West Hartford; a brother, James Cardile of Windham; four beloved grandchildren, Jamie McLinskey and her husband, Matthew, of Portland, Mark Willis and his wife, Fiona, of Buxton, ME, Ryan DiNardo of Manchester, Pasquale Guglielmo of West Hartford; three great-grandchildren, Vaughn Willis, Harper McLinskey, Jaxon McLinskey; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday (November 24th) at 10 am from the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Christopher Church of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning from 9 – 10 am.
