Very sorry to hear about Lain he was one of my first friends when I moved to East Hartford and we graduated together in 1973
from E.H.H.S.-He was a great guy with a tremendous wit,He,his brother Craig used to play baseball and football at Center School back in the day-Memories Ill always be fond of.RIP Lain and all the best to his family.

I am so sorry to hear about Lain's passing. We were friends in 7th and 8th grade and his sister Janet was good friends with my sister Doris. We are so sorry for your loss.

I was so saddened to hear about Lain's passing. I grew up on Phelps St. and remember him from childhood. ... Then I became a Courant carrier.....Then a co-worker at the Courant in the circulation dept... My mother,  Mary Cardono, worked with him in the East Hartford circulation office. I remember how kind he was when I lost her in 1990. Lain had a big heart and a great sense of humor.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'd like to extend my condolences to the Pinney family. Lain & I worked together at CT Telephone and became good friends for 15 years.  I will miss our conversations about sports, family and life.  Lain was a very caring person who always had something to share. He always smiled and made you laugh. I will miss Lain very much.

Craig & family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Lain. I knew Lain very well from high school and whenever I needed a good laugh, Lain would always be there for me. We had some great times together playing on freshman & JV baseball & basketball . Lain would always do a good imitation of Coach Wise, who always be yelling at Laine & I saying "Cardell & Pinney, get your damn head into the game". We had some great times together and although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may the entire Pinney family all look back in loving memory of Lain to help comfort you all for tomorrow
