The amazing, intelligent and beautiful Jane Sasiela Morrison of Ellington, CT born on August 15, 1932, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 27, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Her spirit is carried on by her six children, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and an extended family of friends and relations. Jane was predeceased by her parent’s Stanley and Margaret, her loving husband, Richard Morrison of 58 years and her sister Margaret Winzler of Willington, CT. She was an exceptional wife, mother and friend. Those lucky enough to know her will remember her by the positive attitude, quick wit and the peace and joy she possessed. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Jane during her 88 years, among them: love, patience and kindness. She counted her blessings everyday and that was her family and friends who she loved unconditionally. Jane loved to travel with her husband and family, she enjoyed cooking, music, the Red Sox and UCONN Huskies. Jane an avid reader connected to books on a deep level and through those books she lived multiple lives. Jane was always learning and broadening her awareness, she knew how big the world and life really is. Jane reveled in reciting poems and nursery rimes, from memory, to her children and grandchildren as much as they delighted in listening to them. There are no words to express how much she meant to us and others. A mother holds her children’s hands for a while… their hearts forever. Jane is survived by her son, Richard Morrison and her daughters Carol Lacroix, Cindy Caneen, Christine Beaulieu, Cathleen Wetmore and Connie Grant. Sharing in Jane’s children’s sorrow is her brother David Sasiela, nieces, nephews and many friends. Jane’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and care providers from ECHN hospice.
