James J. Bougie, 60, beloved husband of Alicia Bougie since 1983, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 7, 1953 in Washington DC to Louis and the late Margaret Bougie.
Jim graduated Morgan High School in Clinton in 1971 and then Central CT State University in New Britain. He was a longtime resident of Glastonbury moving to Manchester in 2000. Jim was employed by Edward Jones Investments in Glastonbury for 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Church as well as active in Glastonbury Rotary Club and Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce. He was a loving husband and father who was devoted to his family. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and playing with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 30 years, Jim will be dearly missed by his son, Justin Wagner and his wife Annmarie of East Hampton; his brother Steven Bougie of New Hampshire; his sisters Jane Martini of Old Lyme and Suzanne Kurylo and her husband Dana of Winchendon, MA; his four grandsons Joshua Charles, Andrew James, Evan Louis and Caleb Michael; his nephew Jeffrey Martini; his nieces Lane Kurylo and Lindsay Martini and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM, on Monday, October 28th, at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester CT 06040. Please meet directly at church. Calling hours will be held from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, on Sunday, October 27th, at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpk., Glastonbury CT 06033.
