Felix Angel Ramirez

Felix Angel Ramirez, 74, of East Hartford, beloved husband for 53 years of Margaret Antonia (Martinez) Ramirez, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Born in Hormiguerous, Puerto Rico on December 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Juan Maria and Clotilde (Rodriguez) Ramirez. Felix worked for Howard Clothing in Brooklyn, NY for many years. He was a very good cook who enjoyed making meals for his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening, playing pool, western movies and shows, boxing and training his dogs. He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Margaret; two daughters, Nannette Fabian and her husband Jose of East Hartford and Yvette Gustafson and her husband Michael of St. Ignace, MI; six adored grandchildren, Melissa Tenesaca and her husband Manuel of East Haven, Ornaldo Barreto and his fiancé Qiana Samuels of East Hartford, Samantha Hilden, Edward Gutierrez and Elizabeth Gurierrez, all of Florida and Violet Gustafson of St. Ignace, MI; six cherished great-grandchildren; his sister, Hilda Wicks of Baldwin Park, CA, and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Felix was predeceased by his sisters, Josefa Ramirez and Cruz Ramirez, and by his brother Anthony Ramirez.

Funeral services will be Saturday (June 27) at 12:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. The burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
