Cheryl Marzano, 72, widower of Raymond Marzano of East Hartford passed away on June 18, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital with family by her side. Cheryl was born December 8, 1950, in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Beverly Brayall. She was employed as a Tupperware manager retiring in 1992.
Cheryl married Raymond Marzano, and they made their home in East Hartford. She was a devoted wife, mother, and nana, who cherished time spent with family. A kind-hearted woman, always thinking and giving to others, she had a big personality, very social, made friends everywhere, had a contagious and loud laugh, and was the life of the party. She loved boating on the CT River and Long Island Sound, beaches, sun-bathing, going to tag sales, thrift shops and going for rides in her mustang convertible. She was a cat and dog lover, enjoyed baking, spending hours gardening in her yard, organizing her home, time spent with family, she adored her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She always looked forward to day trips to the outlets and then Westbrook beach with her daughter Missy and her neighbor Sandi, going to the casino with her friend Carol, Monday breakfast with her friends Carol and Marylou, dinners with her neighbor Cindy, reconnecting with her high school friend Susan.
She was a lifetime member of the Hartford Yacht Club. She was a parishioner of Crossroads Community Cathedral in East Hartford.
In addition to her husband, she is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving daughters, Melissa Marzano and her fiancé Dan Pons of East Harford, Barbara Pons, and her husband Tim Pons of East Hartford, brother Donald Turek and his wife Mary of Sandisfield, Massachusetts, pre-deceased by her sister Karen Dickey and her husband Mike Dickey of Titusville, Florida, Grandchildren, Kyle Christensen, Dylan Christensen and wife Marisa Christensen, Jacob Pons, and Raya Pons, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, neighbors, and her beloved cat Sassy.
Visitation hours will be June 27, 2023, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
Funeral services will begin June 28, 2023, at D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel at 11:00am, family and friends are invited to gather at the service thirty minutes prior. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in her memory may also be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
