Anita Stella Falletti, 47, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (October 27, 2012) after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hartford on March 14, 1965, the daughter of Fortunata Natina (Luccisano) Falletti and the late Anthony Falletti, Jr., she had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. She was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1983 and attended Manchester Community College. She was employed for many years at Gerber Scientific, South Windsor and Environ Corp., East Granby. She was an avid amateur photographer as well as a lover of cats, specifically her cat ""Tigger"" of 19 years. Anita was graced with wonderful friends and family. Her happiest moments were the times spent with her loved ones. She was a long-time communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Hartford and was a regular donor to the Red Cross. Anita leaves behind her mother, Fortunata Natina Falletti of East Hartford with whom she made her home; her six cousins, Isabelle Russo, her God Mother from Middletown, William Falletti of Ashford, Patrick Falletti of Cape Cod, Robert Falletti of East Haddam, Phillip Sahadi of Hartford, and Nando Luccisano of Middletown; as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins in Calabria, Italy. She also leaves behind Sandy Levesque of Vernon, a long time friend and co-worker. Anita's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Beth Nelson and the entire staff at St. Francis Hospital for their professionalism, special care, and support given to Anita and her family. They would also like to thank their dear friend and neighbor, Anita Morrison, for her guidance and unwavering support.
Funeral Services will be Friday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. St. Mary's Church, corner of Maplewood Ave./Main St., East Hartford. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Hartford.
