Alice M. (Rousseau) Blair, 96, of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Joseph Alphonse Blair, entered into eternal peace on Friday (March 5, 2010). Born in St. Ephrom, province of Quebec, Canada, on January 26, 1914, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1947. Prior to her retirement, Alice was employed for many years by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford in their cafeteria. Alice was a faithful communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford and a member of their Ladies Guild. Alice was a member of the East Hartford South-end Senior Citizens and one who enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, especially the game 'SCAT'. Besides her husband, Alice was predeceased by a daughter, Madeline Blair of East Hartford; three sisters, Marie Blair and Joan 'Ginger' Musshorn both of Plainville, and Bernadette Frechette of Bristol; and two brothers, Patrick Rousseau and Eugene Rousseau both of Southington. Alice is survived by her beloved son, John J. Blair and his wife, Vickie, of Coventry; a brother, John Rousseau and his wife, Lee, of Southington; four special grandchildren, Kristin Bradley and her husband, Bryan, of Babylon, Long Island, NY, Michael Blair of Glastonbury, Lance Davis and his wife, Carleen, of Newport, RI, and Holly Beebe and her husband, William, of Mystic; nine adored great-grandchildren, Emily, Ryan, Samantha, Elizabeth, Nathanial, Danielle, Katherine, Logan, and Dylan; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be Monday, March 8, at 9:30 a.m., from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Burnside Ave., East Hartford.
