John J. Norcia

NORCIA- John J. of East Aurora, NY. Passed away at home, following a motor vehicle accident, June 24, 2023. Beloved husband of 67 years to Frances (nee Sceusi); loving father of John T. (Debi), Nancy (Steven) Stoll, Jerry (Deborah) and predeceased by James and Joseph (Gretchen); survived by loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John and Frances were married November 24, 1956 and shared a beautiful special bond. They were inseparable from their first date and married 6 months later. They quickly welcomed five children and eventually made their home in East Aurora. After his service in the US Air Force, John worked at Republic Steel until the plant closed. He began a second career in real estate, which gave him such joy being a part of couples buying their first home. Following real estate, he drove a school bus till he retired at 80 years old. He was recognized by many parents for his special care and compassion for the children. John had a great love gardening and could grow anything, especially flowers. He was very proud and known for his pear tree. John was a "village walker" for over 40 years with his wife, Fran. They were known for walking around East Aurora for miles, stopping to speak to the people they passed and always had a bag of dog biscuits. He will truly be missed by all. Family will be present Thursday 4-8 PM at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 784 Main St., East Aurora. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 520 Oakwood Ave., East Aurora. Please assemble at church. Online condolences may be shared at www.woodfh.com
