William Thomas Pope

William Thomas Pope, age 81 of Erwin, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Betsy Johnson Hospital.

Mr. Pope was born on January 7, 1940 in Cumberland County the son of the late Archie Pope and Gaynell Gallion Pope and is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Joyce Dixon Bass Pope. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Flowers.

William retired from Burlington Industries with 41 years of service. He was a good husband, father and grandfather, family was important. He was a hard worker and good provider for his family. He enjoyed reading in his senior years.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Erwin Memorial Park.

He is survived by: a daughter: Linda Grace Pope & (fiance) Joey Tyndall of Dunn, NC

Grandchildren: Heather Owens & (fiancé) Dennis Jones, Jr. of Dunn, NC and Crystal Flowers & Antonio of Lillington, NC.

Great Grandchildren: Matthew Miller, Rebecca Jones, Waylon Jones, Hunter Key, Mayka Flowers, Emily Martinez, Isabella Martinez, Maisie Martinez.
