William Lee Marlin

William was born on December 3, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to the late William Elmer Marlin and Vivian Lucille Meadows Marlin.

William proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958.

William retired from Continental Can Company with 27 ½ years of service. He was a former member of the Hillsboro Lions Club and was also a very active AA Member. Bill loved the outdoors and the beauty of creation.

A sister Linda S. Walker of Huntington, WV preceded him in death.

His daughter, Debra J. Cunningham, and husband Kevin, of Benson, NC: his two sons, William R. Marlin, of Tampa, FL, and Wayne A. Marlin, of Homosassa, FL: a brother, Frank Marlin, of Tampa, FL, survive William.

His grandchildren Hailey Brooke Velez, and husband, David: Michael Marlin, Bryant William Marlin, and Corbin Wayne Marlin: great-grandchildren, Adeline R. Velez and Amelia M. Velez, also survive William.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Amplify Church, 2884 NC HWY 42 Willow Spring, NC 27592.

Family and friends will continue celebrating his life following the services at the church.
