He was proceeded in death by his loving and wonderful wife of 50 years, Naomi B. (Eddy) Lee; daughter: Bette L. Strickland, Dunn, NC; Stepdaughter: Jennifer Whitney, Buies Creel, NC; stepson: Robert R. Dunn, Lawrence, KS.

He is survived by his Sister: Callie L. Stephenson of Wythel, VA; Daughter: Kimberly Nelson of Godwin, NC; Son: William D. Lee of Padaca, NV; Granddaughters: Crystal Gillis and husband Ron and their son Luke of Godwin, NC, Rene Sosa and her sons, James and Cody of Godwin, NC; Nephews: Michael C. Stephenson and wife Patty of Dublin, VA, Keith Barbour and wife Janice of Angier, NC; niece: Pam Hill of Goldsboro, NC; Very close friend: James Walker of Godwin, NC; Grandstep son: Josh Whitney and wife Amy and their daughter Taylor of Buies Creek, NC; Son-in-law: Donnie Strickland of Dunn, NC.

He was a member of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church of Dunn, NC.

A graveside service to commemorate the life of William Leon Lee will be conducted on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Robert Moore officiating.
