Vince Edward Marshall, 54, of 1230 W. Core Road, Dunn, passed away on April 22, 2019 at Johnston Memorial in Smithfield, North Carolina. He was the husband of Cathy Marshall. They shared many beautiful years together.
Vince was born in Dunn, North Carolina, he was the son of J.W. and Sarah Ann Marshall. He graduated from Dunn High School. He later joined the Army and served for 13 years and received a multitude of acknowledgments. Mr. Marshall was employed at the ABC Store and worked as assistant manager.
Brother Vince Marshall was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center and was honored to serve as a deacon. Vince enjoyed giving back to his community and lifting the spirits of others. Mr. Marshall is known for his bright personality and captivating smile.
He survived by his wife Cathy Marshall and his children Tyiesha, Vince Marshall Jr., Antonio Daniels, Amy Bowman, Joshua, Timothy and Michael Aponte along with his siblings Mack, Ernest and Gladys Marshall, plus 15 magnificent grandchildren. He was predeceased by both of his parents known by the names of J.W. and Sarah Ann Marshall, followed by his siblings Willie, Martha Ann, John Henry, Hilda and Faye Marshall.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home 401 West Cumberland Street, Dunn, NC 28334 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and at other times at the home.
A funeral service to commemorate the life of Vince Edward Marshall will be conducted at 1PM on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the sanctuary of Cape Fear Conference A Department 25 Beaver Road, Erwin, NC 28339. He will be laid to rest in Rest Haven Cemetery, 500 S. Burke Street, Dunn, NC 28334 with Antonio Daniels, Clayton Pollock, Corey Pollock, Joshua Aponte, Vince Marshall Jr., Marco Amerson, Michael Aponte, Timothy Aponte serving as pallbearers.
