Sarah Margaret Pope Bowden

Mrs. Margaret Pope Bowden of Dunn died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Betsy Johnson Hospital. She was born April 17, 1929 in Harnett County, to the late Josiah and Lela Hamilton Pope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Bowden. Mrs. Bowden was manager of the Super Ten store in Dunn for many years and was a devoted member of St. Matthews Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 daughters, Theresa B. Satterfield and husband Donald, Debbie B. Johnson and husband Raeford, and Cathy B. Tyndall and husband Kenny. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Dorman (Danny), Todd Satterfield (Mary Jo), Brandon Johnson, Tanya Hicks (Chris), Amy Miller (Kirk), Jessica Woodall (Jason), Joshua Tyndall. Great grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Caroline Dorman, Logan Woodall, Greyson Hicks, Christina Dorman, Regan Woodall, Dustin Johnson, Olivia Hicks, Maddox Woodall, Eden Hicks, Zackery Winters, Cameron Winters, Nikki Winter, and Lanea Miller. Visitation will be Friday November 27, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home and funeral services will be Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11AM at St. Matthews Church with the Rev. Jerome Edwards, and Rev. Jerome Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In addition to visitation at the funeral home, the family will receive friends at 1672 W.
