Patricia "Diane" Diana Coats

Patricia Diana (Diane) Coats, age 70, of Dunn, NC died Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family after a Prolonged battle with cancer.

Diane was born September 17, 1952, in Harnett County, North Carolina to the late Grace Parker Coats and Ellis Richard Coats, Sr. She also preceded in death by her brothers, Ellis Richard Coats, JR. and James Ronald Coats, Sr. and a nephew Richard Orlando Emig.

Diane grew up in her early years in Erwin, and moved to Sneads Ferry, North Carolina in her teens. She later returned to the Dunn/Erwin area where she worked as a beautician throughout her life.

She was an avid bingo player and spent many wonderful days playing at various bingo parlors in the region.

She loved fishing and always enjoyed the ocean. She was fond of her cruises and loved to tell everyone stories of her trips.

Diane is survived by her son: Jeffrey Richard Brinson of Dunn, NC; and a daughter Holly Wells Jackson & (husband) Jason of the Plainview Area.

A sister: Debra Coats Maynard and her grandchildren: Sarah and Weston Rawls, Autumn and Braxton Jackson and JJ Jackson as well as her nephews and niece.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Beasley officiating.

The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Diane's home.
