Michael Lynn Parnell

Michael Lynn Parnell, age 59, of Godwin died Sunday Evening, March 12, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.

Michael was born April 18, 1963 in Harnett County the son of the late Kenneth Greyland Parnell and Judy Carroll Parnell.

Michael was a 1981 Graduate of Midway High School. He was an employee of Goodyear

Tire and Rubber Company with over 25 years of service.

Michael was a family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. He enjoyed the outdoors and always had a project going on. He repaired his pond so the water would stay in it and spent a lot of time fishing. He also loved spending time at the beach. He was farm machinery enthusiast, he had a backhoe and three tractors. The Kubota tractor seemed to be his favorite. He loved to garden and mow grass. His prize possession was his Vineyard, when the grapes were ready he loved making Jam, Jelly and Grape Wine.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Falcon, NC.

He is survived by: His Wife of 28 years: Barbara L. Parnell of the home.

Daughter: Ashley Parnell Lee & (husband) Joshua of Godwin, NC,

Son: Jordan Michael Parnell of Godwin, NC.

Step-Son: Stephen N. Tew of Godwin, NC.

Grandchildren: Ashton West, Brentley West, Harlee Lee and Braiden Lee

Brother: Shawn Parnell & (wife) Allison

Mother-in-Law: Jessie Lockamy of Coats, NC.

Sister-in-Law: Connie McGee of Coats, NC, Niece: Juanita McGee of Coats, NC. Nephew: Earl McGee & (wife) Garet of Fuquay-Varina, NC.

The family will receive friends Saturday Evening, March 18, 2023 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
