Mary Alma Stewart

Mary was born September 25, 1946 in Harnett County to the late William J. House and Edith Gray Gregory.

Mary attended college and received an Associate's degree, which she utilized when she became a certified nursing assistant.

Mary loved puzzle-books, the beach, and westerns, especially if John Wayne was starring in them.

Mary also loved her vast family. She is survived by her son, Ray (Patti) Wrench, of Leland, NC; her sisters, Carolyn (Charles) Dale, of Dunn, NC; and Barbara (Harvey) Stewart, of Benson, NC; her brothers, William House, Jimmy (Maria) House, and Jerry (Margie) House, all of Dunn, NC; her grandchildren, Dustin (Megan) Wrench, of Falcon, NC; and Travis (Stephanie) Wrench, of Riegelwood, NC; and her great-grandchildren, Riley Wrench, of Falcon, NC; Colton Wrench, Charity Wrench, and Cora Wrench, all of Riegelwood, NC.

Mary is preceded in death by her son, David Wayne Wrench, who was named after her beloved John Wayne; her father, William J. House; mother, Edith Gray Gregory; and sister, Edith Hairr.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
