Marjorie Rose Naylor, age 77 of Dunn, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at UNC Johnston Hospital in Smithfield.
Marjorie was born January 8, 1946 in Harnett County the daughter of the late Jasper T. Naylor. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Naylor McLamb and a brother-in-law, Thomas Gray Strickland.
Marjorie was a graduate of Midway High School Class of 1964 and attended UNC at Greensboro. She worked for insurance companies in Raleigh, Fayetteville and the Research Triangle as a underwriter before retiring. She loved to read and knit and was a member of the Mingo Senior Citizen Center,
She was an active member of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church. She was in the choir, Sunday School Teacher and Church Clerk. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and very active i Vacation Bible School.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Spring Branch Church Cemetery.
She is survived by: Her Mother: Eunice Strickland Naylor of Dunn, NC.
Sisters: Marie Strickland of Dunn, NC; Ella Radcliff & (husband) Danny of Mt. Olive, NC and Betty Gayle Tyler & (husband) Bobby of Dunn, NC.
Brother-in-Law: Terry McLamb of Dunn, NC.
Eight Nephews and Sixteen Great Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday Evening, January 21, 2023 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, NC.
