Larry Wayne Tew, age 64 of Sisk Culbreth Rd., Godwin died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Larry was born on September 10, 1957 in Harnett County the son of the late James Vance Tew and Betty Lou Holmes Tew and is preceded in death by a brother, Randy Tew.
Larry was a master welder for most of his life. He enjoyed working and it could be said it was when he was happiest. He also loved to go fishing, hunting, riding horses and was a good dancer.
He loved his family and was a great father and grandfather. He was known as a “gentleman” slow to anger and quiet. Some people would tell you “If you knew him you loved him” that was accurate in describing Larry.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Lucas officiating.
He is survived by: A Son: Larry “Wayne” Tew, II and (wife) Ashley of Ft. Hood, Texas.
Daughters: Dana Hudson & (husband) Stacy of Dunn, NC and Shanna Bailer & (husband) Tim of Fayetteville, NC.
Grandchildren: Cole Hudson, Reese Hudson, Lilly Hudson, Aaron Bailer, Ava Grey Tew, and William James Tew.
Brothers: Ronnie Tew & (wife) Jatana of Godwin, NC; Ed Tew of Wade, NC and Pat Tew of Erwin, NC.
The Family will receive friends Tuesday Evening, October 19, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, NC.
