Jerry Lynn Ammons, age 84 died on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Carrolton Nursing and Rehab in Dunn, NC.
Jerry was born May 8, 1939, in Dunn, the son of the late Worth Ammons and Ernestine Wood Ammons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Ammons and nephew Jimmy Ammons, Jr.
Jerry managed hotels for over 30 years in Florida, Nevada and North Carolina. He was last employed at the ABC Store in Dunn. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, stationed in Paris, France for two years.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years: Shirley Horton Ammons of the home.
A sister-in-law: Janice Kirpec & (husband) Al of Suffolk, Va.
A Nephew: David Hix of Kenly, NC. (who he thought the world of)
And his fur baby: Cee Cee that he adored.
