James Franklin Raynor

Mr. James Franklin Raynor, age 85 of Turlington Rd. Dunn, died Friday, January 22, 2021 at his residence.

James was born on November 17, 1935 in Cumberland County the son of the late Asber Raynor & Iula Baker Raynor and is preceded in death by brothers, Nelson, Gene, Asber Jr. and David Raynor and sisters, Doris Hardin, Carolyn Faye Packer, Marie Raynor & Miriam Raynor.

James retired from Dunn Animal Hospital with 27 years of service as a Vet Tech and was a member of Porters Chapel PFWB Church. He enjoyed the simple things of life, fishing, hunting and watching Nascar. He farmed for 8 years before going to work at Dunn Animal Hospital.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Porters Chapel PFWB Church with Rev. Kevin Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery.

He is survived by: his Wife: Margie Sorrell Raynor of the home.

Daughter: Vickie R. Gainey & (husband) Donnie of Dunn, NC.

Sons: Dennis Raynor & (wife) Teresa of Dunn, NC and Jerry Raynor & (wife) Kimberly of Dunn, NC.

Grandchildren: Carisa & Blake Pounders of Erwin, NC; Casey & Robert Parker of Dunn, NC; Joshua & Lywisa Gainey of Dunn, NC; Derek Raynor of California; Kayla & D.J. Tyndall of Coats, NC and Jaxson Raynor of Dunn, NC.

9 Great Grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends Monday, January 25, 2021 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Porters Chapel PFWB Church. One hour prior to the service.
