Helen Jean Bullock

She was born on February 27, 1946, in Halifax Co., NC to the late Herbert Fulton Dorman and Murlen Norris Dorman.

During Helen's life she worked in several different fields including retail sales and office administration. Her greatest accomplishment was the years she spent caring for her family and loved ones.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when she was needed the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Dorman Moore, Emma Ruth Dorman and Jeanette Butts.

She is survived by her daughter, Mechelle Gaines (Cleve Gaines) of Little River, SC; her daughter Jeannie Rae Bullock (Jerry Pounds) of Coats, NC; granddaughter Emma Carson Pope of Coats, NC; brother Bucky Dorman (Faye Dorman) of Eastover, NC; sister Nancy Honeycutt (Jack Honeycutt) of Godwin, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Gaines (Kevin Radtke) of Hopewell, NJ; Brittany Waddell (Joey Waddell) of Lumberton, NC; two great grandsons, Cooper and Landon Waddell; and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones to cherish her memory.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery, in Wade, NC.
