Clarence was born on August 27, 1933 to the late Ed Moore and Della Byrd Moore in Harnett County, NC.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
Clarence was a dedicated minister serving ministries in Franklinton, Mount Olive, Kinston, Fields of the Wood, Princeton and Lucama. He also served as an evangelist at many other churches throughout his life when called. Clarence achieved the status of Bishop in the Church of God Conference. Clarence dedicated his entire life to serving the Lord.
He loved to fish in his younger days. Clarence was a quiet reserved person. A simple man never wanting pomp and circumstance for anything.
Clarence was the former owner of Dunn Business Machines for many years.
Three brothers, Lester Moore, Earl “Silas” Moore, and Paul Moore preceded him in death.
Left behind to carry on his legacy is his loving and devoted wife, Peggy Jane Allen Moore, of the home; a son, Donald Wayne Moore (Barbara), of Dunn, NC; a daughter, Sherry Lynn Noonan (Glen), of Dunn, NC; a granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Faircloth (Ricky), of Dunn, NC; two great-granddaughters, Ruby Faircloth and Chloe Faircloth.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 6, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home, with Rev. Vernon Morris officiating.
Burial will follow at Erwin Memorial Cemetery.
