Ms. Edwards was born September 29, 1948 in Robeson County, N.C. She is preceded in death by her husband, Corbett Hilton Edwards. She is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsay Bryant; a grandson, Brandon Bryant; and a brother, Luke Ivey.
Ms. Edwards was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
After her declining health in February of 2021 she overcame many health obstacles fighting hard to have more time with her family. Against all odds her will power and the grace of God she came through with 15 more months with her family and being able to attend her granddaughter’s wedding.
She loved crocheting, plastic canvasing, and crafting. Ms. Edwards entered an American Flag Crocheted piece in a senior talent competition. She collected dolls, and individually crocheted their clothing.
Ms. Edwards loved seafood especially oysters, and crab legs.
Carrie loved flowers evidenced by her beautiful rose garden. She was a social butterfly on the phone to everyone.
Her companion, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dogs brought her much enjoyment.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 01, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Rev. Mark Fields officiating.
Burial will follow in Old Mill Church of God Cemetery, in Roseboro, N.C.
She is survived by her companion Larry Robertson, of Erwin, N.C.
