Barbara Louise Smith

Barbara was born on December 7, 1948 in Cumberland County, NC and was the daughter of the late John Smith and Barbara McDaniel Smith. In addition, preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Benge, also preceded her in death her siblings Emily Woods, Keith Smith, Mike Dunson, Ilene McLemore, and Donna Gaye Dunson.

She loved flowers of all kinds. Working in the yard planting flowers brought her much enjoyment. Barbara love cats, especially the two at her home.

Three sons John Baker, and wife Kim, of Autryville, NC, Jerry Baker, and wife Linda, of Eastover, NC, and James Brown and wife Crystal; five grandchildren, J. Baker, and wife Jessica, of Autryville, NC, Jordyn Baker Hubbard, and husband Michael, of Fort Hood, TX, JC Brown, Cody Baker, and wife Brittany, of Wade, NC and Samantha McPhail, and husband William, of Autryville, NC; one great-granddaughter, Sofia Baker; one sister, Kay Matthews; two brothers, Wayne Smith and Rev. Stevie Sinclair survive Barbara.

Private graveside services, at Old Bluff with her brother Rev. Stevie Sinclair officiating, honoring her memory are planned.
