Forrest McQuiston age 91, of Dunedin, Florida, passed on Monday, February 27, 2012 at his residence under Hospice care. Forrest was born in Ranger, Texas on August 4, 1920 to John B. and Vira Legg McQuiston. He moved to Florida in 1958 from Meadville, PA.
Forrest served in the US Army. He was a member of the D.A.V Chapter 103 in Dunedin. Forrest was a 50 year member with the Masonic Lodge 192 in Dunedin, Scottish Rite, a member of the Shriners in Tampa and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dunedin. Forrest was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. He will be remembered for always being a help to others, but mostly for his smile.
Forrest was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty Applequist, his parents, seven brothers, three sisters; also a special friend, Anna Mae Hoyt.
He is survived by his sister, Evelyn McCartney, many nieces and nephews and his second family, Randy and Anita Eldridge, their son Ryan and daughter Kimberly (Steve) Gallaway and children.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 1st from 5-7 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, with a Chapel Service on Friday, March 2nd at 10:00 am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, FL. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in Forrest’s memory can be made to Suncoast Hospice.
