Treasured wife of James for 32 years and dear little sister of Michael Whetstone.
Louise enjoyed teaching high school, especially physical education and music, and loved coaching many sports teams, particularly volleyball. Out of school hours she took pleasure in belly dancing, paddling, competitive sprint racing, canoeing, playing volleyball and badminton, and travelling all over the world.
Louise was a soloist in McMaster University choir, a soloist and Spring Tonic dancer for Centenary Church, sang with the Opera Hamilton chorus where she met her husband James, and was a soloist at Melrose and St. Paul’s United churches. Louise’s energy and enthusiasm will be missed by friends and family.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service: 29th April 2025 11 am at St. Paul’s United Church, 29 Park St W, Dundas, ON L9H 1X3 (Scent free Sanctuary).
It was Louise Stokes wish that in lieu of flowers any memorial tributes be made in the form of a charitable donation to St. Paul’s United Church or a favorite charity of your choice.
