She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Gilbert. Loving mother to James (Susan), Ruth, Donald (Megan). Grandmother to Sian, Regan, Shannen, Thomas, Ryan, Will, Emmet and Lindsay. Great-grandmother to Isla. She will be missed by her relatives in Scotland, her sister Ruth Gilmour and nephew, Andrew Girvan.
Isabel loved music, art and made a lifetime of fond memories with her friends from choir and colleagues from the Peel Board of Education and the East York Board of Education.
Isabel was the epitome of unconditional love. She was a wonderful wife, mother, “Granny”, sister and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
A private family service has been held. Details for a Celebration of Isabel’s Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Liver Foundation in Isabel’s memory would be appreciated.
