Beloved wife to Elmer for 42 years. Loving mother to Rosie. Predeceased by her stepson Dale. Proud Gramma to Mathieu, Brittny, Julian, Thalia, and Stormy. Survived by her sister Beatrice Laidman and predeceased by her siblings Harold, Cyril, Roy, Mary, Robert, and Gerald, and by her parents Sherman and Ethel Havens. She was a loving aunt to Jeannie, Barb, Wendy, little Mary, and many more nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered around Dundas as a member of St. Paul's United Church, driving a school bus for 23 years, and for her work with Meals on Wheels and the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Juravinski, as well as the staff of St. Joseph Villa for their kind and compassionate care.
Friends will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME "Swackhamer Chapel" 195 King Street West, Dundas on Friday, September 17th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held, and Illah will be laid to rest at the Polly Cemetery in Prince Edward Island.
