Donald was born to the late Fraser and Muriel Oliver.
He is survived by his children, David (Elizabeth) and Susan, and his beloved grandchildren, Meredith and Jackson. He will also be missed by his sister, Karen Oliver, as well as his former wife, Heather Oliver.
Donald was a passionate and long-time member of the Burlington Gemini Gem & Mineral Club, where he found joy in sharing his love for geology, gems, and minerals. He also enjoyed gardening, collecting stamps and coins, and his model scale train hobby. His dedication to these interests was a defining part of his life, and he shared his enthusiasm with those around him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 6th, at Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King Street West, Dundas, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Donald's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fellow enthusiasts.
