My sincerest condolences go out to Anthony's family and friends. I have been at a loss for words, and still am really. I don't believe that there are words to express how deeply Anthony will be missed. I do know that the lives he touched have been forever changed, and that he has left this world a better place than he found it.

Although we went our separate ways in high school, I have always carried a special place in my heart for Anthony.  Being able to witness his ability to lift the spirits of those around him, listening to his infectious laugh, and admiring his kind heart are just a few of the things I will always cherish about our time together.  I will be forever grateful for the time we were able to spend together, all of the things he taught me, and all of the memories that I will carry for the both of us now.

He was a strong, intelligent, and beautiful soul that will never be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of teaching Anthony in my first Long Term Position at St. Bernadette. As a first year teacher you think that Anthony would have been the most difficult but it was the complete opposite. He made my first year of teaching easy. He was helpful, polite, and fun. He made my first attempt of managing a classroom simple. He was a fun loving, easy going kid (not to mention a giant) and that is how I will remember him. I am truly sorry for your loss and my prayers and condolences are with your family during this time.

Dear Pittens Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Anthony’s passing. He always made my class so lively. Such a jokester, with a permanent (sometimes mischievous) smile on his face. He made a big impact on his classmates and school community.  I can’t imagine the pain you must be feeling, sending prayers for you. 

I   got to work with Anthony as our Student Council President of St. Bernadette school 2009/2010.  He was well liked by students . His smile and his fun personality  grew on all of us. . 

My hear breaks for Anthony’s family and close friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was a classmate of Anthony’s at St.Bernadette. I remember the day he came to join our school we couldn’t believe he was in our grade because of how tall he was!

I will never forget all of the laughs we shared at school, and the memories we made. We were on student council together in grade 8 and he always made everyone laugh. Those times were so incredibly fun! My former classmates and I are so saddened but this news. Gone too soon.

We lost touch after St. Bernadette’s/high school, however, some of my fondest memories of elementary school were with Anthony. He always knew how to make you smile and would always give the shirt off his back. We always had a blast fishing in the pond at his house and going for adventures. Those are memories I will always cherish.

My sincerest condolences to all of Anthony’s family and close friends.

 I went to elementary school with Anthony back at St. Bernadette, and although we lost contact over the years, I will always remember how much he made me laugh and how he was always getting into mischief! He made our long bus rides from Dundas to Lynden bearable as he cracked jokes to make all of us laugh the entire journey. He will always be remembered for his humour and happiness. I’m so sorry for your loss.

We are so saddened to have lost such a great guy. This loss is a tough one, and now more than ever we need to keep each other close and take care of one another.

When we see a farmer turning his field we will think of Anthony. When we stop and take a deep breath we will think of Anthony. When we receive a hug that is larger than life, again we will think of Anthony. We will all miss him.

His smile, his warmth, his kindness, his gentle spirit, his warm heart, his strong handshake and his dedication will never leave our hearts or minds. Anthony’s unconditional love for his family was so admirable and something to be proud of. He has left our sides here on earth, but could never be forgotten.

Anthony and I haven't been in touch much since high school, but I was deeply saddened to hear this news and have been at a loss for words about it for the last few days. He was always generous and a good friend to me whenever we crossed paths. He showed me love and respect when I lost my brother a few years ago in a similar way- whom he knew as well. He was a good man taken way too soon from those that he loved. My heart goes out to all his family and friends during this difficult time.

Hirsch Truck is my memory id pick him up and usually drive him home..just got my brand new car he was big so he barely fit..he wore the baseball hats top of his hat covered in grease therefore my new off white roof was black..
I was so mad at him he tryed to clean of course not.. To this day i have the top of his head still imprinted in my car..
We shared alot of drinks...laughs..and even a couple crys...

We will always cherish the conversations we had about Anthony's family and the pride and love he had for all of them. He was so proud of his grandparents dairy farm and loved to engage in conversation about the newest technology for dairy farms. It was obvious that his mother was the foundation in his life and his sisters were the pillars. He will always be loved and missed by our family.

When Anthony walked into a room, you noticed him. I remember looking out across a room (often Stag and Doe’s) and there he was. The tallest person I knew, Anthony, as mentioned was larger than life. I had a dream about him 2 weeks ago and messaged him about it. He was walking in a field of sunflowers and he was as tall as they were. Radiating happiness: the sunflowers and Anthony.

I will always remember how Anthony and my Ladybug were both in the PICU at the same time, and he would visit us daily to just chat, and see how she was doing. 

Anthony will be sincerely missed, no matter what was going on in his life he was always such a sweetheart and always remained kind. He gave the absolute best hugs and the best back cracks! He was always willing to give the shirt off his back and loved every one of his family members so deeply.  I was lucky enough to watch Anthony grow into an incrediblely caring and driven young man, he was taken from everyone far too early. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.
