Amy will be dearly missed by her beloved husband David of 55 years, her children Kevin, Jennifer, Steven and their spouses Kris, Trevor and Sharon. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Dylan, Ava, Sophia, Olivia and David who loved and adored her. Amy will be dearly remembered by family and friends in Canada, the UK and the USA, as well as many acquaintances around the world.
Amy’s smile lit up the room and her charm legendary. She loved travelling, shopping and going out for dinner. She especially loved to end an evening with a game of trivial pursuit or scrabble with the family. Most importantly she loved to laugh and have fun. Her dedication to her family was paramount. She was a loving and supportive wife, she was devoted to being a full-time mother to her children and later delighted in every special moment she spent with her grandchildren. Amy’s love, strength and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
We are forever grateful to the staff at Hamilton General Hospital for their dedication and compassionate care over the past month and to the ICU team for their tireless efforts during her final hours. Their skill and commitment will not be forgotten.
A private service and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
