My heart was saddened today, to hear of Juanita’s passing. I haven’t seen her for years, but she was a very special lady, who I recall from my days at the Lighthouse. I will always remember her sweet smile, laughter and genuine spirit. She was a kind and giving friend. I know she will be missed by all who have known her and loved her over the years. Thoughts and prayers are with y’all today. 🙏🏻😢

I am friends with Juanita’s daughter Deanna. Whenever I saw Juanita she was always so loving and welcoming.  She had such a great sense of humor and was always happy. A great lady and I am glad to have known her ❤️

I have such great memories of Juanita and what a wonderful woman she was.i listened to stories daily about her kids and grand kids whom she thought the world of.  I am so saddened by her passing ..my thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Juanita’s family.  It is hard, but remember how much the Lord loves each of you and will give you grace and comfort through this sadness.   

There are no exact words to describe how my heart aches to have seen my mom suffer through her battle with cancer. Or how it was to see my dad watch the love of his life fade away after 51 years of marriage. I do know that my mom has been a beautiful gardener in her lifetime. She spent her time patiently watering, feeding, loving, and nurturing her family. Our family is not perfect but over the years we have pulled the weeds out, fought the thorns away, and harvested fruits from our labor. My mom has taught me many lessons over the years from our hourly morning talks, drives, and walks. My children will have wonderful memories of going to the movies, playing outside at the grandparent’s house, and crazy Mimi quotes lingering in their minds. I am blessed to have this gift from her and to have spent these last moments by her side. Her mentality  faded each day but I am so grateful that she remembered who we all are. Whatever time God gave us, I fully accepted. We can’t live in the past or be fearful of the future. We are only guaranteed the present moment. Love one another and embrace all struggles with open arms. They do bring you closer to Christ. I always think about Christ’s last night before his Passion and death. He was a humble servant and washed His disciple’s feet.

How can I say “goodbye” to you? You have loved me when I was difficult, encouraged all my ideas, supported my endeavors, comforted me, held me, and always made time to talk with me about everything. I honestly don’t know how I will able to get use to the idea of not having you here on earth with us. I am an extension of you and with that I will carry your blood and heartbeat with mine. I will remember the lessons you taught me and pass them to my children. I treasure all the memories we have together. I Love You, Mom!

“Nita” as we knew her, was part of our work family for over 30 years. She graciously shared her hard working husband with us, and we had such nice conversations at company functions. Her love of family was so strong and inspiring. She was a loving wife and mother and will be truly missed. God rest your soul Juanita and prayers of comfort for your family 🙏🏻
