Brunt, Terrance (Terry) passed away peacefully at home in Cobble Hill in November with his family at his side. Always with a sense of humour right up to the end, “Uncle Buck” had requested MAID to come and “turn off his main breaker”.
Terry spent his whole life in the Cowichan Valley, growing up in Bamberton, where he also served his electrical apprenticeship at the cement plant. After getting his Red Seal, he moved his family to Cobble Hill where he started his own electrical contracting business. He loved to regale anyone who would listen with tales of growing up in Bamberton, and continued to do so in his later years in his role with the Bamberton Historical Society.
He took pride in everything he did, and was a man of integrity where business was done with a handshake and trust. Terry had friends throughout the Valley, such that there were no quick trips to town - every trip was guaranteed to bump into someone he knew that required at least a 30 minute catchup, much to the chagrin of his children.
Terry loved his family fiercely and is survived by his wife Linda, sister Anne, children Frank (Chantel) and Angela, grandchildren Olivia, Sophie, Jayce and Elowyn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dad’s healthcare team: Dr. Bass, the team at the Victoria BC Cancer Clinic, and Dr. Wenzel-Smith.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation. At his request, there will be no service.
Papa is now rewiring the universe…
